Guy Whitehead

Experience:

Guy has been working in the general insurance industry since 1984. He worked as a consultant for Tillinghast between 1984 and 1991 in London, Bermuda and Paris, and for Bacon & Woodrow France in Paris from 1992 to 1993.

During this time he was involved in:

• Loss reserving, particularly long tail lines and reinsurance;
• Appraisal values for merger and acquisition;
• Market and feasibility studies.

In the period 1994-2000, Guy was the senior actuary for XL Mid Ocean Re and ReAC in Bemuda and Sydney, where he was responsible for:

• Reinsurance pricing and underwriting support;
• Aggregate exposure monitoring;
• Financial modelling and dynamic financial analysis;
• Loss reserving.
