February 2010: Taylor Fry named as finalist in BRW Client Choice Awards 2010
Taylor Fry has been named one of three finalists in the actuarial category of the BRW Client Choice Awards 2010. The winners will be announced at an Awards Presentation Dinner in the Sofitel Hotel Sydney on March 17. To all our clients who nominated us - thank you!
November 2009: Taylor Fry awarded 2 of 9 research grants
The Institute of Actuaries Australia's Research Council Committee was generally impressed with the applications received, many of which presented novel, interesting and potentially valuable projects. Of the 23 applicants, Taylor Fry was awarded 2 of 9 research grants for projects to be carried out during 2010. Taylor Fry was the only actuarial consultancy to be awarded research grants (all other successful applicants were from universities).
September 2009: Improvements to the Comcare scheme
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) engaged Taylor Fry Consulting Actuaries to review whether Comcare is a suitable occupational health and safety (OHS) and workers' compensation system for self-insurers and their employees. Taylor Fry collected the information and provided expert advice to inform the review.
August 2009: Being green in the workplace
Taylor Fry was perhaps the first actuarial consulting firm in the world to be 100% carbon neutral. Taylor Fry was consequently featured in the August 2009 issue of the Australian CPA magazine, on the subject of creating and maintaining a sustainable workplace.
