Since joining Taylor Fry in 2008 Scott’s primary focus has been on assessing long-tailed liabilities. He is particularly interested in workers’ compensation and medical indemnity lines of business.

Scott excels in creating clear, well formulated and easily auditable models that deliver reliable and efficient valuation and pricing processes for his clients. Scott’s clients appreciate his ability to communicate the results of these models in a non-technical and concise manner.

Recently Scott developed a monitoring tool to assist workers’ compensation claims managers understand experience by business unit and more efficiently target preventative strategies in their business.


Insurance Liability Valuation

Scott has valued the insurance liabilities of a variety of insurers including the highly complex liabilities for a major medical indemnity insurer.  He has also projected the total premium pool required to be collected over coming years.

Price Optimisation and Portfolio Monitoring

Scott has recently been seconded to a major personal lines insurer to assist them with price optimisation and performance monitoring across a range of classes and brands.

Capital Modelling and Management

Scott has also developed models that project forward balance sheets, cash flows and profit forecasts that assist his clients in managing future capital needs.
